Alright, alright, alright (I’ve seen a lot of Matthew McConaughey content around socials this week).
Here is one, quick Tid Bit to increase your audio quality.
I’m really not sure why all podcasters don’t at least ask for this, but here we are.
Ask your guest to record their end of the audio + send it to you after the conversation
That’s it.
Here’s the breakdown of it – because I do know this can be a little brain breaking the first time you think through it.
-
You, the host, pull up Zoom to chat with the guest.
-
You, the host, also pull up your local recording software (whether it’s Audacity, Garageband, etc.)
-
The guest pulls up the Zoom session.
-
The guest also pulls up their local recording software (whether it’s Audacity, Garageband, etc.)
-
Record the Zoom session as a back up.
-
Record your audio into your software.
-
The guest will also record into their software.
Yes, you can record locally on your computer as well as record in Zoom – AT THE SAME TIME.
Yes, it sounds crazy at first, but it’s true.
After the conversation, ask the guest to send you their audio. Line up the audios in your editing software, and boom. You have a conversation that sounds like you’re in the same room.
Happy podcasting!
